JOB TITLE: SALES EXECUTIVE

Seeking an enthusiastic Sales Executive for our growing sales team based in New York City. This person will be a key driver of growing our key accounts and increasing our divisions revenue in the Home Furnishings industry both in USA, Canada, and UK markets.

With a selling focus this role has a unique cross functional purpose expanding across client account management, supplier & vendor relationship development, product development, and brand relationship management. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Drive business growth and actively sell a large product portfolio to Key Accounts and Independent Clients
  • Lead category development in collaboration with your customers input and complete feedback loop for sales needs to sourcing partners and leadership
  • Understanding of distribution strategy for the Living Style Group, our licensed Brands and identify future potential partners
  • Support EVP & VP Sales Managers in the production of seasonal budgets by client as well as analysis of past sales data
  • Compile end of season sales and product information reports to aid future development of the collection
  • Actively sell stock when in the market place and actively place orders where necessary to achieve prospective stock plan figures
  • Collate weekly and seasonal sales information from Key Accounts to effectively analyze business and respond accordingly and produce clear action plans
  • Responsible to report, generate and record sales orders, numbers and figures
  • Track all order shipments generated by your sales and communicate weekly with order analysts and logistics teams for seamless end to end service for your customers
  • Attend sales meetings to record and update key stakeholders
  • Conduct new market research studies and comparative shopping analyses of our customers
  • Key leader in gathering all product quotes from the sourcing team, generate cost breakdown to achieve margin targets to be reviewed by the VP of Sales, and compile product information in a comprehensive archive and format to present to internal team members and customers
  • Travel is required to both supplier locations overseas and customers domestically. 25% travel should be anticipated.
  • Assist in our High Point Showroom set up 2 times per year to showcase our new collections and generate new business with key customers. Attendance to the High Point Show is mandatory.
  • Consistently and accurately follow up on client issues in a timely manner; remove any and all obstacles for clients
  • Openly communicate feedback to all members of the team internally & overseas
  • Eagerness and motivation to train and learn about furniture and accessory categories to enhance your selling knowledge and connection to your product assortment
  • Liaises frequently with clients to keep them fully informed Must be comfortable with frequent in person meetings, emails, and phone calls to clients

    Qualifications

  • College degree
  • 4-6 years in sales or retail/wholesale experience
  • Premium experience with a proven track record and established relationships with key accounts
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment with changing priorities and strategies
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time both domestically & internationally; valid passport required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines
  • Detail oriented/innovative traits are necessary
  • Strategic thinking and tactical delivery
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Must be able to find the best solutions and develop methods to improve efficiency
  • Strong follow through skills
  • Strong in relationship building both internal and external
  • Excellent communication skills written and oral
  • PC Skills- MS Office and MS Outlook
  • Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and/or ad hoc projects
