IT Business Operations Project Manager is responsible for leading changes to enable our IT Modernization talent and process operations. The ideal candidate will define project goals and use their skills and expertise to inspire a sense of shared purpose within the project team. They enjoy new challenges and the responsibility of driving business results. They are organized, passionate and goal oriented. They understand what projects have in common and their strategic role in how organizations succeed. This role will report into our IT Business Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for successful planning, execution, and completion of projects to improve and transform how IT operates
  • Lead IT business operational process design and improvement
  • Responsible for management of the projects scope, schedule, and resources; achieving stated project goals on time and on budget
  • Responsible for centralized management of project management deliverables such as charters, business cases, requirements, schedules, risk logs, status updates, and lessons learned
  • Responsible for assembling, maintaining, and supporting project team; monitoring project performance and health; managing project risks and escalating issues to leadership
  • Responsible for effectively communicating to stakeholders at all levels from leadership to individual contributors to keep them informed and engaged as necessary
  • Accountable for developing and executing right-sized change management plans to prepare, equip, and support individuals throughout the change
  • Support IT talent management activities, in partnership with HR

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university
  • 5 years of experience in professional project management
  • Experience in Information Technology, Talent Management, or Operations preferred
  • Knowledge of project management frameworks, tools, and practices including PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience with software development methodologies including waterfall and agile
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to clearly and concisely share critical information
  • Experienced in change management, driving adoption of project solutions
  • Skilled at influencing teams and building partnerships across disparate groups
  • Strong self-starter with a desire to make decisions and drive execution
  • Must be able to reliably plan for the future and also be adaptable when new obstacles arise
  • Must exhibit resourcefulness and creativity in problem solving
